On Wednesday, USA vs. Algeria and England vs. Slovenia will be played at exactly the same time. ESPN will be showing both games on ESPN and ESPN2!

This is good stuff. England really needs a win to advance. USA controls its own destiny: beat Algeria, and advance to the 16.

England does not need to advance. they are an embarrassingly overrated squad. I'm thinking maybe only the teams from the Balkans states will make it to the round of 16. the other European "Super Powers" are looking shoddy.

there also have been a ridiculous number of red cards in this Group Stage.

Northern European teams I see advancing: Holland & Germany

I left the room for 5 minutes in the second half and Portugal had scored twice, lol. I'd love to see the Swiss do well in this match.

sorry the Swiss didn't show up. Man that was narsty.

I will say this: watching Spain play football is like watching soft core porn, a lot of action but no money shot.

lol, I love The Onion, even when it bashes my sport.

Kudos to South Africa for beating France (even if it was France, who somehow managed to score a goal after giving up).

WTF! I'm really trying to like soccer but these consistently poor calls are getting to be too much... How is this world class?

It is tough to watch. I like watching UEFA though.

I wish it wasn't on at 9 in the morning :?

How about that stoppage time goal? USA! USA!

I came home from a round of golf, turned the tv on expecting the game to be over (stupid superstitions making me want to miss that game) and saw Landon kick it in. I guess my superstitions are wrong and I must watch them play now, lol. I think the USA can beat Ghana in their next match.
