Discs on ebay

Postby bigs348 » Thu Feb 23, 2006 11:03 pm

I just put a bunch of stuff up on ebay so I thought I'd let you guys know. Some new/field-tested Gateway stuff (Sabres, Illusions, Spirit, etc.) and a few new/used Innova discs (Champ Eagle, Pro Wraith, Roadrunner, 11x KC Pro candy Teebird).

My ebay name is the same as here: bigs348.

That RoadRunner is the Best Dye Job I've ever seen.

You do amazing work.

How many hours do you have in that disc?

DR DYE,

your stuff really reminds me of the Ukranian (and other Slavic peoples') egg dying that I do. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pysanka

Was wondering whether you had any folk art background influencing your designs?

Thanks :D

That disc took me roughly 1 hour to do the design.

Interesting...I have never seen anything like those eggs!!! Very detailed and cool looking, I bet they take awhile to do!!!

No background really that I get my designs from. It all is really untouched ground as far as it is compared to my other art(paintings, clay wheel work, photography ect). I have always had a good sense of design so I guess I just have always relied on what looks cool to me, trying new things and see what I get!!!

Yep, a long time to do, several hours for the really intricate ones. My cousin in Manitoba has done ostrich eggs, those take a really long time, but the end result is amazing, and an ostrich egg shell feels like porcelain.

And as we are now in Lent season, it's about time to start pulling out the beeswax and the dyes.

But your stuff is beautiful, and I also really liked the Dylan two-ton you had on your site.

Thanks for buying those, man! When you paid, I was like, "Hey, I know that name. A fellow discgolfreview-er."

Unfortunately, I have to go out of town for work early in the morning for the weekend, and I won't be able to send them out until Monday. I should've thought ahead when I listed them, sorry. I'll send them quick shipping though.

Thanks again.

No biggie! So many people on ebay today complain if items are not shipped the same day they pay for them. Like everyone has no lives and does nothing but sit on a computer and drive to ship items.

I will leave positive feedback when I do get them though!

Yessir, they were sent out on Tuesday. i talked to a couple buyers who received their discs on Saturday, so I would say today or tomorrow. I threw in an extra Sabre for you, too, although I did ship them in an Innova box...
