Per the TD (Vince Whorley) there are only 19 spots left in the field for the Timber Ridge Open on April 10. This is a great event at an awesome course. Timber Ridge is a bit reminiscent of Hawk Hollow, perhaps a bit shorter. Farm golf in Bedford, Virginia!!! PM me if you need more info.

Newport News today, rain cleared off right after we started. Had a nice day on a good course, with a couple temp holes thrown in for good measure. Came home this evening, but I know a bunch of people hung around to play Bayville tomorrow. Good luck to all.
Side note: I was one hole behind 17 year old Tyler Smith when he aced 487' Hole 2 (red/long tee) in the second round. If you haven't played the course, this hole has no vertical drop at all. Kid can mash it.

There is supposed to be a tournament in Winchester, VA on May 16 in Jim Barnett Park. I'd love to post some info, but it seems as though whoever is organizing this isn't likely to get out a flier until registration is underway. I've heard registration is at 10:00am and the tournament should start around 12:00pm. Supposed to be around $20 to enter and money is going towards paying for the course (baskets, tee pads, etc.).

I'm not certain of any of this information so if someone could offer more information I'd greatly appreciate it. Once I find out something concrete I'll post an update. I feel like by waiting so long to get the word out they are losing a lot of potential funding so please speak up if you have more informaiton. Spread the word and grow the sport.
