Halo: Reach

Postby uNicedmeMan » Mon Sep 13, 2010 1:43 pm

Anyone getting it? I haven't reserved it but I will likely stroll on down to the Best Buy tomorrow and try to snag a copy.

If it's no better than H3 it will be a short affair and I'll be back onto mw2... Sad to say but every Halo after Combat Evolved was a letdown (H2 was mega fun online though).

Eh, I'm still on the fence. Halo games never live up to the INSANE hype they generate but they are usually quite worth while.

Just played a couple of hours of multiplayer before bed. So far, it's damn good. And I've never been huge on Halo.

Didn't get to play that, couldn't justify spending any jack on ODST.

Based on Roy's input and

I will be biking up to the Bestbuy at lunch to see what I can do.

Hmm, may have to check this out. I'm not a huge FPS player, but the Halo series seems to be one of the only franchises that caters to 2p coop play, which is the most fun way to play these, IMO. I borrowed ODST and didn't particularly enjoy it. Halo 3 was good, but didn't live up to the hype.

Reach = mine. A couple of buddies of mine played it for a few hours last night and said it's badass. I played alot of Halo with these guys and value their opinion so I'm freaking pumped.

Not me then. I've been getting my ass handed to me more often than not. I guess it takes a while for all of the new players that are extremely experienced in prior Halo games to get rated properly in the matchmaking. I seem to do best in the funky game types like Oddball and Headhunter.

At first I was getting crushed because I was used to MW2 controls and overall experience. I'm finally starting to get used to the controls and realizing that you can't instantly kill with a headshot or melee.

Headhunter is loads of fun, especially when your down multiple skulls and you score big to take the lead. Have you played the racing games yet (I'm assuming your playing FFA)?

Yeah, that caught me off guard. The game started and I'm like "wait...what?".

Borderlands is big on co-op, and supposedly pretty sweet.

Hmm, so it is. I'd known about the online multiplayer, but never paid attention to split screen, likely b/c I'd been looking at the PC version. Thanks for the tip, I might have to pick up a copy.

There were a bunch of Firefight daily challenges yesterday so I gave it a try. It's a fun break from slayer but gets old after a game or ten.
