That video definitely looked better.

You could see some s-shot type throws, and the flight modeling looked pretty decent.

I'm wondering if the guy was throwing so short because he was airing out hyzers. The computer looked like it was throwing much prettier shots, which is promising.

yeah he was throwing pretty nose up  hopefully the game rewards better form with at least a healthy 400 or so

None of the videos I've seen look like the player is even trying that hard. Their forms look more like someone throwing around 100' than someone throwing around 300'.

This sentence fits any video game that is based on a real world activity. The developers always have to balance realism with what the common consumer will actually enjoy. Only the type of person that would frequent a site like this would appreciate such punishing realism.

Plus I imagine a 350' RHBH could really test the limits of that wrist strap.

Very true indeed, and I'm not expecting the game to require a proper throw to get the disc far out. Just something more than a limp flick of the wrist, which is what they're doing now. =)

If you get a ten foot 360 run up, you can throw it 750 feet.

the accuracy of these controllers is amazing, i cant wait to see what kind of games they will come up with for this, played a couple rounds of DG and a game of ping pong so far and im really digging it

300 IS about the max driving distance :( i have aired out a couple flex shots and hit a few rollers right that went in the 320 range but thats about it, not a huge problem as most of the holes are set up well for this distance but its weird to play a video game where you could actually do better than your character.

other notables.
there are 3 discs to choose from at the start (although it seems you unlock more as i just unlocked a disc made of stone :? .....for wind maybe?), putter, mid and driver with the driver appropriately having the strongest fade and the mid and putter having less respectively

to throw you hold down the trigger to bring up your disc and as long as you hold the trigger you can swing it around and get in some practice swings before your actual shot to gauge power and angle, to actually release the disc you let off the trigger mid swing (its not as lame as it sounds and is quite natural after a few holes)

FH, BH, rollers and overhands are all fairly realistic

to get a full power shot you will be swinging you arm about like you'd throw a 75' to 100' approach shot, gotta be good for the touch game IRL id think as the controller is SUPER sensitive to how you throw.

i cant stress enough how great these controllers are, if the idea of the Wii sounded cool to you but the reality was weak this is probly what you were expecting it to be

Hey, finally a disc golf game that's perfectly realistic for me!

after playing this for a night my actual DG game was much tighter today  i think its actually a good training tool for nose angle and plane preservation :)

its definitely the best one yet.......at the same time it really just makes you think what they could do with a DG game, i want real courses and discs and the ability to drive over 300'.......still though, it's awesome

So I had the unfortunate displeasure of playing this tonight on a 14'(yes ft.) projector. Maybe I was taking to seriously or trying to hard but I tied my buddies girlfriend who threw nothing but spike hyzers. Seems like every putt sticks even the most awful outside the chains putts. The throw is decently real except there is no hyzer flip(my primary way of throwing). Good news is you can actually throw a grenade. I haven't played any of the other DG games but if this is the best, I really don't want too.
