I think that this injury thread may have led me to an answer about my form.
I just read this over in the maxing out @ 300ft thread:
When i reach back, i lose sight of the basket, and then there is a sort of blurry "give it all you got" phase and when i see clearly again, the disc is way in the air, certainly 50 feet away. How can you keep sight of the basket during the x-step and while reaching back ?
Or do you say that you should come out of the reach back and dont apply power till you see the basekt again ? Is this what you mean by only use your arm for disc positioning ?
you are starting your pull too early. you shouldn't try to apply force until you have visual contact.
most pros don't even complete their reachback until after their pivot foot hits the ground.
That's NOT how I've been doing it for sure.

Talking about stress fracture, to avoid such consequences, better to consider the shoes we wear. Our shoes should be comfortable, light-weight and the heel should not too pointed. Always watch our steps when using heel shoes or any heel footwear.

I googled the symptoms of the pain I'm getting in my upper front ankle and shins on my plant foot (RHBH) and found this forum topic and another one from this site. I really didn't start noticing the sharp pains until I really started to work on my jump putting. All the shifted weight landing on that sore shin probably isn't helping.
On the other forum post ( viewtopic.php?f=17&t=19257
), they said the pain is rooted from too much friction from the foot to the tee pad.
I'm personally going to take a week off and let it heal. Then go back to the basics.
Try to see a specialist, someone who deals with all kinds of foot pain. I noticed no one mentioned of trying to seek for a foot specialist's advise. A foot doctor or chiropodist might be able to help, you might want to check how they work with foot pains/ problems.

I don't know if this is entirely related, but when I started intense field practice my ankle on my plant foot would hurt REAL bad during and afterwards. I would preempt the pain by taking advil before I went to practice so I wouldn't feel it as much or at all. The funny thing is.....it was never swollen or red, so I don't know what that was all about. It didn't matter if I was on concrete or grass, it still hurt. For whatever reason it doesn't hurt anymore, so it was short lived....thankfully!
It's all about discipline and focused practice!
