The Road Runner can take less power to get good D, but it can't take too much before it flips.
I'm thinking about getting a "true" distance driver. Something like a DX or Star Valk or Champ Orc in the mid-sixties. Also thinking about trying a Predator.

I throw in your range distance wise, and in my epic struggle to find drivers I want to stick with I picked up a couple DX Eagles the other day. I was in love with Gazelles, but the lack of premium plastic and an uncertain future led me to try the Cyclone and OLF. I didn't care too much for the large diameter of the Cyclone, and it was a little too easy to turn, and the OLF was too tough to turn, but the Eagle seems just right. Good choice there.

Valk VS. Orc depends a bit on your throwing style IMO. If you naturally like to hyzerflip go with the Valk, and if you're a flat thrower go Orc. I have a mid 160s star Valk thats pretty predictable and fun. I have a DOMEY champ Destroyer that I can crush, I just have no idea where its going to go. The Valk is probably my most predictable distance disc right now, but I feel I need a little tailwind and a medium hyzer to really lay into it.You may be able to handle something like a beat pro Destroyer in the high 160s.

Why are you thinking Roc from Buzzz? I threw the Roc, then the Core, then mold inconsistencies have made me try the Buzzz. Its a work in progress, but I think I'm really going to like it eventually. It does like to be thrown harder and flatter than most mids, I'm hoping that will change a bit with time.

For the sake of having less overlap, I could get an Orc. I think a mid or low 160s should be a good bet.

I'm trying the buzz to get another perspective on midranges. The Roc is my default midrange. I kind of what to see what else is out there.

The Eagle is probably the most versatile out of the group. I threw the CDs yesterday and they seem to go a little further (not much) than my eagles. They are easier to throw and have potential to be a great hyzer flip disc once they break in some more. Afterall, they are very similar to the Viking.

I could take the CD out or RR, but I think that the CD can handle more power and has a better fade. The RR is for easier distances.

I testing out the Comet right now and seeing if it's going to have it's use. I like it so far.

Any overlap or wasted space?

I'm still testing out the Katana. I'm getting a little extra distance. I think if I dropped in weight on the CD then I might be able to push them closer to the Katanas. I Katana may serve me better once it breaks in.

The Comet may come out once I beat some rocs.

I've been thinking about kicking out the Eagle for Cyclones. The Eagles are closer in distance with the CD than what I would like. The CD is great at working different lines and doesn't start out as overstable as the eagle. The Cyclone is a little slower and may be less overlap.

I've been thinking about replacing the Firebird with a Predator or XXX. I like the fact that the Firebird comes in base plastic.

The Roadrunner is in there for easy distance for wooded course and messed up tees.

Is this a good setup?

Do you throw S or P CDs? And if you throw P CDs, couldn't you use a beat one of those instead of the RR or are they too different?

I'd change the Firechikn to a Champ @ 175g.

Heavier almost always goes futher into a headwind.

I'm still throwing the FR (D and S) though I'll end up switching to the new run. I think it would fill the RR role very nicely.

There's a possibility that I'll throw in a Katana for Max D. I can get longer distances with consistency using my PD.

I've been in a "gimmick" mode. I've wanted to have one mold from each manufacturer filling out each slot. I think I'll pick up a Spirit or XXX for my overstable slot. Is there anything I'm missing?

lol It's tempting, Victor. Imo, I think a PD can fit the role of a TD.
