spent the better part of this weekend setting up some video game emulators on my mac AND getting an old Belkin Nostromo gamepad (playstation lookalike) to actually work ... Played a couple of games using the keyboard, and it just sucked ...
I now have an NES, Sega Genesis, Super NES, and a Nintendo 64 running perfectly on my macbook laptop, and I can save my progress in all of them ... Couldn't find an atari emulator for mac.
Next project is to set up an Apple IIe emulator to run some truly old-school games like Moon Patrol, Transylvania, Karateka, and the original Wolfenstein.
Favorite NES game of all time is Baseball Stars. I currently have a team with two perfect 90 hitters, five perfect 90 pitchers (prestige cheat method), and a roster full of 80+ hitters. Long-term goal is to have a full team of perfect 90 hitters, and legit perfect 90 pitchers.
