Yeah, those were the days...You couldn't look up a solution on the internet when you got stuck...And how many people bombed every single pixel of the original Legend of Zelda trying to find secrets? I know I did...Just to hear this sound: http://www.entertonement.com/clips/fzlchkskvn--Link-finds-a-secretLegend-of-Zelda-

Because it is universal beyond the NES. It's has been (and still is) on every game system, calculator, watch, keychain, or whatever they could stuff it on.

Yes, still a fantastic game though. I still have my original Gameboy cartridge.

anticipation is still one of my favorite games to play with friends.

me and some buddies just got back into playing super nes. we got a multitap and played a tiny toons game for almost 8 hours straight to completely beat it. NBA JAM, super bomberman, super street fighter, primal rage, jurassic park... i miss how great and innovative the old games were compared to the games now (call of duty 27 LAME)

spent the better part of this weekend setting up some video game emulators on my mac AND getting an old Belkin Nostromo gamepad (playstation lookalike) to actually work ... Played a couple of games using the keyboard, and it just sucked ...

I now have an NES, Sega Genesis, Super NES, and a Nintendo 64 running perfectly on my macbook laptop, and I can save my progress in all of them ... Couldn't find an atari emulator for mac.

Next project is to set up an Apple IIe emulator to run some truly old-school games like Moon Patrol, Transylvania, Karateka, and the original Wolfenstein.

Favorite NES game of all time is Baseball Stars. I currently have a team with two perfect 90 hitters, five perfect 90 pitchers (prestige cheat method), and a roster full of 80+ hitters. Long-term goal is to have a full team of perfect 90 hitters, and legit perfect 90 pitchers.

I still have my original NES that I got when I was in 6th or 7th grade. I also have an SNES, N64, and a Wii. I didn't realize I was being so brand-loyal. Favorite games (in order):

Super Mario Bros. 3
Bionic Commando
Batman
Duck Tails (yesh, Duck Tails)
Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest
Super Mario Bros. 2
Super Mario Bros.

The Magic of Scheherazade is not the precursor to the Legend of Zelda. It is a COPY. Zelda came out in '86 while Magic came out a year later.

This is an excellent list. I'd add Castlevania 2 and tecmo super bowl and it might be perfect.

We had a "table" arcade version of RC Pro Am in our basement as a kid. That is the one with the smoke screen and oil slicks right?
