Been thinking a bit on a 2 year program for golf course management with intentions of becoming a golf course superintendent.

Dang, you got 10%? I broke my shoulder, fractured my left knee and fractured my right ankle twice... 5%. Yeah, it's nice to have something to fall back on. I've never been to a VA, but I hope they are better than medical I got while active.

Well, I'm 20 years old and haven't quite figured out what to be when I grow up yet, so I haven't gotten back in school. As such, I'm currently working 40 hours a week at the front desk in a retirement community (not a nursing home). I've been with the company for just over 2 years now. I work 4 - midnight, and seeing as the overwhelming majority of residents go to bed around 8 pm, about half my shift consists of me stalking DGR and doing other miscellaneous crap. My only real excitement comes when I have to call the paramedics for one of the residents. I've dabbled in the financial side of the company (helping bookkeeper with payables, dealing with vendors, adjusting payroll) but it's definitely not something I want to do the rest of my life.

I really do enjoy my job because it doesn't interfere with my lifestyle, and, in the interest of being honest, I absolutely love the residents. Old people can be exceptionally hard to deal with, but if it weren't for them, I wouldn't still be here. I've built personal relationships with every single one of them, even if it's just a quick "Hi" as they pass by the desk. This definitely isn't my true calling by any means, but I try to make the most of it while I'm here, and it keeps me debt-free and able to do all the things I enjoy.

Outside Sales, selling wire and cable to wholesale distribution. Get to travel a ton, which is bad, because the family gives me grief, but can be good since I get to play a lot of very cool courses around the country. Good job, with a good, fun, private company.

I'm now self-employed, doing Web development, project management, etc. --pretty much the whole process except graphic design. I focus on the LAMP side and especially Drupal. Having no boss, no commute, etc. is great! Still sort of in the "starving freelancer" mode but things are looking up.

You switched jobs? Who do you work for? I really want to know, because I may have a friend that's very good with windows Citrix farms that would possibly be interested.

Those photos actually started as a joke, and I told one of my friends if they made an animated GIF, I would be obligated to use it here.
