Good: played an awesome memorial round for the owner of the Country Course today. Played really well and banged a bunch of 30-40' putts. Got a couple of CTPs and came in fourth. Also bought a new 170 proto wizard for $10.

bad: didn't win the tourney, had a couple of spit outs that would have put me in 2nd.

ugly: how I feel after all the various alcohols I sampled today. Jamaican Vacations are dangerous.

Good - I've been practicing short (20' and in) putts for the past three weeks after having the most embarrassing putting round of my life.

Better - The putting practice has transitioned to the course and on my NYE round, I only missed one putt within 20'.

More Better - The weather has been awesome for 2011, 50ish degrees here in Baltimore.

Best Evar - Played 9 holes of ball golf at 8am yesterday. Despite rock hard greens and tees (couldn't sink a tee, had to hit off the deck) I shot a 47 which is pretty damn decent for me and beat a friend who routinely shits on my world by one hole stroke. Said friend shot two par 72s in 2010.

Good: Picked up 2010 tag 10 to finish the season, 2011 tag 3 to start this season
Also Good: I hit 2 or 3 putts outside the circle, which is rare for me.
Bad: 8 birdies and finished -1. . .
Ugly: 3+ missed putts inside 15' (it was below 30 and snow on the ground)

Good - getting to play my first tourney of 2011 this Saturday (Mt. Kisco Ice Bowl in NY, also first NEFA pts of the year)
Bad - haven't played a tourney since the end of August, but practice rounds have been decent
Ugly - a blizzard dumped 1.5' of snow in the northeast, and even with a good amount of melting, course conditions could be tough

Good: bidding a not-so-fond farewell to the PDGA in 2011
Bad: no Vibram Open for me in 2011 - first ever MSDGC/VO I will have missed
Ugly: the Grange closed from 1/10/2011 until 3/1/2011, likely transforming my once-weekly round of glo golf into a once-monthly trek to Hawk Hollow (if that)

good: actually got out and played in our New Year's Day 2 round flight last weekend.

bad: didn't particularly shoot well (but good enough to qualify for the Ryder Cup already lol) and there were only 5 people there.

ugly: the weather. 20 degrees and lots of wind. didn't help me out with my learning curve throwing cyclones and OLFs.

Good - Played with Chris Heeren in a tournament today so that was good. Best player I have ever got to play with. I also played my first open tournament and tied for 5th and cashed.

Bad - 4 Bogeys. Get rid of them and I would have got second.

Ugly - My wind/sun burn

Bad: A lot of easy missed putts inside the circle
Ugly: My idea to throw a seasoned 12x KC Roc in cold weather... Shattered into tiny little pieces off the first tree off the tee.... first throw of the round. She'll be missed.

Damn! How cold was it when your Roc shattered? I shattered a DX last winter on a day that probably topped out at 6 degrees or so. I took my Rocs out of the bag this winter - didn't want to lose/break another as they take so much time to work in. I'm throwing the Core, the Fuse, and a NEW DX Roc to fill the stable slot.

Damn! How cold was it when your Roc shattered? I shattered a DX last winter on a day that probably topped out at 6 degrees or so. I too broke a seasoned roc this past weekend. It was my second warmup throw for an Icebowl and i cracked it right in half on a tree. My own stupid fault though. I generally take my seasoned rocs out and use my mako, only problem there is my mako is white and there was snow on the ground. I need to get a contrasting color, straight outta the box, premium mid for situations like that.

Good thing is I have oodles of money rocs waiting to take the place of their fallen brethren.
