How do you like using only PDs for your fairway drivers. I am considering doing the same, but I am worried that it might not cover all the slots.

I was considering trying that this summer, but it just seems strange to do everything with a 10 speed disc. I dig Gazelles so much, I couldn't think of getting rid of them.

I just saw these responses. Everything Dave said is correct, the PD can cover a whole lot. I think it depends on how far you can throw a midrange though. I normally throw midranges in the 310-320' range when conditions are favorable, I don't have a ceiling, and my throw is clicking, so I'm not dialing down my PD throw that much. That being said, I can throw them in the 250 range on a low line quite easily. My beat up ones glide just like a Roc on a bee line at 60% power.

I think if someone releases a straight stable disc in premium plastic that doesn't fly like a brick (Gateway Sabre, I'm looking in your direction) it may find it's way into my bag for some specialty shots. But for right now, the PD is doing just fine for nearly ever fairway drive I need.

I don't have issues throwing mids over 300' as I'm throwing putters near 300'...of course things change when the ceiling is present :P Throwing mostly putters this winter consistently has shown me more about my game and flaws in my form. I'll be sure to give the PD a fair shake when it is time. There is still 40k feet of snow and another 1k feet of ice under that I'm waiting to melt....AK, YOU'RE KILLING ME!

The bag looks good. But what ever happened to that 10x roc?

Haha. Another guy in KC has it (Fred Smith). I got too scared to throw it most of the time.

Wow, it's been a while I see. So here's what going on in my bag lately:

* Wizards are out. I've been messing around with Ions since I did the DGR run, and I've been finding more luck putting with them. Not moreso than Wizards, but I finally got adjusted to them.
* The FD obviously. I've had one in my bag since Thanksgiving, and it's taken at least 1 stroke off of every round I've played in the last 2 weeks.
* Fast stuff: I'm messing around with the Quasar and the Cannon. We'll see.

Mah Bag
---
2x 170 Soft DGR Ions
1x 175 Soft DGR Ion
1x 175 Medium Wizard (beaten, the only thing the Ion can't replace yet)

4x 177+ dx Roc (new to roller)
1x 172 XXX

2x 175 S FD (new and broken in)
3x 172+ P PD (new to roller)
2x 175 S PD (new and broken in)
1x 175 CFR PD

1x 172 Icon Cannon
1x 172+ Quantum Quasar

Any idea when the FD will go into production? I am really diggin the cyclone, but if the FD is better I may head that route for the sake of saving my sanity and effort in finding those just right cyclones.

Sometime next spring. If you want an early shot at them, there are 2 lighter ones left on Disc Golf Values.

Bye Bye Quasar. I tried, but I never really got comfortable with it. Welcome back PD2s! I also expect to be putting a couple of annodes in my bag in the next couple of weeks. I'd also like to get my hands on some S PD2's and a C FD.
