It has. We use them at my work and have them on about 20 machines to date with zero issues. When they first came out, you're right, they were not great, but many strides have been made. My ideal HDD set up would be a smaller SSD for my OS and a pair of large RAID 1 platters for my main storage. You should check them out again Jeronimo because they have gotten better in the reliability dept.
