That's funny.....bout crapped my pants when it hit the chains. The disc took a nice ding on the rim from it too....so I guess it was a pain.

got quite a few throws with my 176 pink opto today. very impressed with how well it flies. it is what I always envisioned out of an overstable midrange - something that doesn't have to be ripped like a driver, but is still very HSS with a strong, but not ridiculous fade at the end of the flight. From what I can tell, the HSS is similar to a new KC Roc, and the fade is stronger, but more in a forward motion than a hornet or drone which just fall out of the air.

All in all, it's an overstable midrange that can actually be thrown like a midrange, and has more versatility than a typical overstable midrange.

I'm sure I'll get a lot more work with it tomorrow if I play, it's supposed to be very windy and very warm. I'll probably swap out a disc for my 172 goldline pain.

Got a 178g Opto Pain in the mail today. Took it right out for some throws. All I can say is beefy...for a midrange. I am going to take it out the course tomorrow morning to do some more work. Like B-Vic says...it is exactly what I would expect out of an overstable midrange. I would say that it is a touch more overstable than a new KC Roc.
If the object of disc golf were to hit trees, I'd be 1100 rated.

I can understand making typos on your phone, I can't understand not correcting them.

I think this is nearing an epic thread...."The House of Pain" might be the correct name for this thread considering how this is turning out.
