What Discs/Plastics Dye best?

I just spent my weekend learning the different dying techniques online.I made my stencil with the contact paper on the disc and tried two different techniques on my INNOVA VALKYRIE DX that were both very unsuccessful. The first technique i tried was to pour the rit dye in a bucket of hot water and float the disk face down on the liquid for 20 minutes. After that totally failed i tried mixing 2 parts liquid rit dye with one part rubbing alcohal (a method i found in a youtube video) and painting it on the disk. That was unsuccessful as well.

Im just wondering if its me doing something wrong, or is this disk is just undyable. Also, what are the best disks for dying??

DX/D and KC/JK/YETI/R Pro all really dont take dye. Premium plastics do, Champ/Z/Opto and Star/ESP/Gold Line do the best and hold it the longest. Mid grade, driver pro/X/Grip take it fine, but fade quickly.
