These guys seem to really have their stuff together. They were at am worlds in Ohio already raising funds for 2011.

The players who have been invited to this year’s Pro and Am Worlds have been calculated. To see if you have been invited please visit our World Championships page at www.pdga.com/world-championships.

The invitation packages will be sent out this year via email and will also be available at PDGA.com on Wednesday March 16th. Registration for both the Pro and Am Worlds will start on March 17th.

It should also be noted that in order to register for the Worlds you will need to be a current PDGA member and have passed the certified official’s exam. If you haven’t already done so we encourage you to take care of these obligations now.

If you were not invited to the Worlds Championships and still want to play there will still be opportunities available. Below is the registration schedule for both events.

March 17th: Registration opens for both Pro and Am Worlds*
April 16th: Registration opens for Pro Worlds for players classified as Professional.
May 16th: Registration opens for Pro Worlds and Am Worlds for all PDGA members.
July 15th: Registration closes for the Am Worlds.
July 22nd: Registration closes for the Pro Worlds.

* Only players classified as Amateurs are allowed to play in the Am Worlds.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact the PDGA Office at office@pdga.com. We look forward to seeing you at this year’s Worlds.

Why is the course at Chili not on dgcoursereview? It is also not on the map for 2011 AM worlds map. http://www.pdga.com/files/documents/201 ... terMap.pdf

But it is on the players schedule. http://www.pdga.com/files/documents/201 ... leV1-1.pdf

Chili's course used to be called Baker Farm, but it has been renamed to Widener Park: http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=3

We just got word that we can officially continue to call it "Chili" or the Chili Disc Golf Course at Widener Park.

In other news... the players party is going to be in a Baseball Stadium. Live bands, jumbo tron, food, beer, general mayhem! The courses get better everyday with lots of work being done. The player packs are now valued at over $120 and still growing...

The 37th Rochester Flying Disc Open is now in the books. Results here http://www.pdga.com/tournament_results/68673 The Genesee Valley Park temp course was used for this event. It was a nice warm sunny day with a slight breeze. Lots of OB made for challenging rounds with great competition. Many holes really made you think before throwing.

Now that we've seen how it plays, some things will be tweaked and improved to make it as good as it can be for Worlds. It will only get better with flypads and high end baskets. If you played in the tournament feedback is welcome!

"The more the merrier" has never been truer. Wouldn't it be great if there were 700 people at Am Worlds?

If you've got a local forum for disc golf, please re-post and pass along the information here. Don't forget about the site too, 2011amworlds.com

Monday Field events are taking shape. The air at Genesee Valley Park is going to be filled with flying discs!

The area has been laid out for the distance competition. Over 700 ft of wide open space is waiting for your long arm. The putting area will feature elevation, and the mini golf will be every bit as challenging as a full scale course. Also the EDGE competition will require all of your DG skills.

If you're not participating in these events put just want to come watch, there will be plenty of action for you. Discraft will be on site with a couple of there cannon-armed team discraft players to show you how it's done. Take the HOTT SHOTTS skills challenge for free.
