Got my GB squirrel monkey today and finally had to decide exactly what I wanted to carry in it, which was a little harder than I expected. Ultimately I am happy with it though. With my carolina I usually only have it half full so its rattling and sliding everywhere, or pack it full of discs I probably wont throw and it feels like its full of bricks halfway through a hot summer round. The squirrel monkey feels like nothing on my quads and has more than enough drink capacity for me. So comment on my setup, post your own summer bag (if you have one), whatever. I am curious to see how many (if any) carry a lean bag for summer play.

I use a Revo Pro with quads in winter, and switch to a GB Spider Monkey with just a shoulder strap when it gets hot. Switched last week, actually. My summer bag looks like:

Opto XXX
Star Vulcan
DX Gazelle
Z Wasp
DX Coyote
Star Gator
Pro Pig
DX XD
Pro Rhyno

Gator and Pig overlap but I use them differently. I could probably ditch the Gator though if I had a few backups I liked for the Pig.

My Pro bag collects duplicates, or else a bunch of crap I don't need. I always like switching to the summer bag.

i was a little worried that the quads may be too bulky or just overkill on the squirrel but I really liked it better with quads than just the single.

Yeah, I think I like single shoulder straps more than the average human. Or maybe it's that my quads are some off brand that has fuzzy stuff on one side. Feels great in winter, but gets wet from sweat in summer, makes my hand wet taking it on and off, and messes up my grip. Plus, your squirrel has two bottle holders. Which I am jealous of.

The Spider Monkey bag is a feather though.

My Squirrel Monkey is my Summer, Winter, and tourney bag. I love how light it is, and how it limits my disc count. Currently, I'm using this set-up.

Distance:
Star Wraith (Long hyzers, long s shots) Rarely used, but useful when I need to throw 400 plus.
Champ Firebird (Flicks, spikes, FH Rollers, hyzers, skips)

Fairway:
Star Teebird (new fresh and stable)
Champ Teebird (seasoned for hyzer flips to hyzer, hyzer flips to straight and annies -- workhorse)

Mids:
KC Roc (stable and fresh)
KC Roc (seasoned and straight)
KC Roc (flippy)

Putters:
DX Aviars

I'm looking at a crunch box, but right now I'm using a Jambag if the Carolina is too much. Super light and two drink holders = good for summer!

174 Medium Ion, beat (Putting and driving)
165 Proto Soft Ion (Anhyzer approaches, turnovers, jump putts)
175 ESP Comet (Straight, and can fade if provoked)
174 X Comet, beat (straight shots at low power or a dependable late right turn)
170 P PD, beat (Fairway, long annys, all-out distance hyzer flips)
171 S PD, seasoned (flips to flat and always comes back, dependable fade)

If the wind turns up I might switch the beat med Ion for a new one that's much more stable, a Buzz for one of the comets and a Pred for the beat PD.
As I said, I'd like to get a crunch box so I could fit an X XL, Pred and Flow (or similar, Flow currently leads my high-speed driver testing) in there as well. With room for 10-12 discs I don't think I'd bring the Carolina to a competitive round ever again.

wasn't using my Revo Mini so I sold it, now I need a replacement, quads and a Revo Mini felt like nothing.

Congrats on the GB Squirrel Monkey, ima have to take another look at it and decide if I can wait for one

the more I use it the more I love it. the less discs I carry I seem to limit myself even further and still throw only about half of what I carry in a given round. Lol. I was guessing it would help but I was really surprised at just how much energy it seems to conserve. 18 holes feels more like 9, so it takes two rounds to be anywhere near as tired as one round with the carolina.
