What is the best iPhone Disc Golf Scorekeeper App?

The app should have the following:

Minimal Requirements:
1) Good statistical representation and analysis
2) Historical analysis for multiple players
3) Uploading scorecard to a website, excel sheet, etc, off the iphone
4) Easy intuitive interface for inputting scores
5) Not too buggy or crashy

Would be nice:
1) Download course information into the iphone. Would prefer an app that has alot of courses in it, I am in upstate NY at Ellison Park.
2) Handicap calculator
3) Download scorecards into the app to update stats.
4) Pictures of course layouts?


The Apps I know of that seem to be worth time are:

GolfCard Pro - seems to be very good. Odd that you have to put in courses in 9 hole increments though.
Discgolf (Sutibo Software) - Heard good things about this but only lets you put in 9 players, no historical tracking?
DG Caddy - have not tried this
Disc Golf Scorecards - have not tried but the interface looks nice from the pictures. Only 6 players allowed on a scorecard.


What are your thoughts? What do you use? What have you tried, what don't you like and what do you like?

for me disc golf scorecard is the only one that I don't get sick of using after a few holes. so far as I know there isn't one that exists that has managed to implement 1 and 2 on your minimal list to any kind of effectiveness.

IMO, GolfMate is my favorite. It's the easiest and fastest scorecard for inputting scores. No statistical tracking though, you have to email the finished scorecard to yourself. I'm really surprised no other scorecard apps have ripped off the way you enter scores in this app.

FYI, there's a new app that launched this week called Discasaurus. It's got most of the minimal requirements listed in this thread and several of the nice-to-haves.

I haven't come across an app that doesn't exactly what you want, but if you do, let me know. I am dreaming about one.

DG Caddy is a nice app for personal statistical records. It only does it for one player, but does pretty well, imo. It isn't that difficult to operate once you figure it out.

Don't spend your money on Disc Golf Scorecards. While it is a great little app, it strictly records scores and doesn't really have any additional features. It serves that role really well and works great for multiple players, but it doesn't sound like it does any of the other things that are important to you.

I'm just going to comment on the one's I've used

Discgolf (Sutibo Software) - Heard good things about this but only lets you put in 9 players, no historical tracking?

It does track averages for each hole for each player, but you can only view them in scorecard mode (you have to be currently scoring a round).
Pros: Easy to use, tracks multiple players hole averages
Cons: No option for long/short tees. Cannot change pars (everything is 3).

DG Caddy - have not tried this

This one is great, but it only analyzes your own scores. You can score rounds with multiple players and it does save those scores, but it only tracks and analyzes your scores.
Pros: In depth course creation with pars, multiple tee boxes, and lengths. Good tracking for the main user with hole averages and line graphs tracking scores on each course. Can email scorecards from app. Can also input discs.
Cons: Does not track multiple players.

I currently use DG Caddy mainly because of the course creation features (pars, and rec/pro tees).

The version one release has been submitted to Apple for final approval so it should be available before the end of July. First version won't have any statistical averaging functionality built-in but you can export rounds for tracking in your own spreadsheet.

Doesnt look like it supports 5 players. Also without the stats and handicapping Golf card pro is tops

Supports six players and we produce and use ratings in disc golf which also can be used as handicaps.

Only thing I dont like about it is that you can not mark OB's on the scorecard. Other than that, it's can keep score and you can scan trough them sorted by players, course, date, round results etc. Never tried to sync it with the PC though, and it sure does not download course information. It's just a scorecard.

Its the PDGA, that's just how they role.

p.s. - That app looks like it blows away the other ones I've used in functionality and there's a great chance I'll be spending $5 on it, if not only for the ability to show an estimated rating.

Pretty sure I'll pass at that number. Golfing is my break away from the day to day anyway so my phone rides in my bag with the ringer off generally. I can't see busting it out to keep score during a private round and need to take score on the provided cards for league play, etc. anyway.
