drinking and posting dan b?

I'll be out there though Mr. Ellis. I'll probably head up early because its a bit of a drive for me and I want to take another crack at the course again. Also I'll be glad to see Eirik again.

Any chance I could get a Rattler from you sir?

damn. bad timing. I'll be up north this weekend with my girl, celebrating her birthday (june 25th), and our anniversary. (4 months, but what the hell, falls on the 26th) We'll be at the Little River casino in Mannistee. We'll be checking out the local disc course up there too. :D

How often do you throw out the clinics Mark? I would love to get one in this year. I got my gf hooked on the game, and I know she'd love to be at one too.

The clinic probably goes a couple hours but you can join late or leave early as you wish.

Following the clinic we might organize a best shot doubles on the course if there is interest.

For a clinic open to all (but required of none) there is not way to predict how many players of what caliber might show up. That is why we have multiple instructors to break into groups to deal with particular skills or shots. The fewer who attend the more specific we can get with one on one instruction. The more who attend the better our sponsors like it as their message gets broader exposure. However it works I am happy to teach one player or a hundred.

In past clinics we have had a group of beginners who needed an overview of basic skills. Then we have had players who showed up looking for help with a particular shot (increasing distance, anhyzers, forehands, overheads, straddle putts, etc.). We have also had players who needed help with a particular aspect of competition (playing under pressure, tournament preparation, understanding rules, etc).

So the clinic will not be highly structured but rather highly flexible to the needs and interests of the participants.

To cfair, Yes I will bring a Rattler. Any particular preferences? If anyone else attending is looking for a particular disc let me know ahead of time.

To Wraithchild: The next clinic is set for Sunday, July 10th at Irving Park (Battle Creek, MIchigan) at 11 am. This clinic will have a putting emphasis and Kirk (Luna) Haggadone will be one of our guest instructors.

July 10th though, sounds really good so far. I think that will be my first open weekend after these next 2 weeks.

By chance one in the 170s. I have found myself lately wanting to make certain catch disc shots or certain shots with a catch disc. So I'd like to try one out. I'll probably stop by the throw shop after the clinic anyway so if you forget no biggy. Oh, and I will be there now for sure.

The Clinic was awesome. Mosier is a human trebuchet and Sara Demar is awesome. She really helped me turn things up, so much so I'm going to have to re-learn how to throw my comets... they're all turning over on me :(

But anyway there is one big thing I took away from the day.

**Pro Tip**
Don't buy discs from Mark Ellis. He'll charge you $20 for Pro D plastic and sell you you on the idea that "He personally hand selected it off the production floor. From a very fine run that happens to be the same as the one in his personal bag. And how often can you say you have a disc from THE Mark Ellis himself?"

Haha. For another $20 I will show you how to throw it correctly.

So do we have all of the info ready for the July 10th session in BC yet Mark? I'm curious to know if Irving Park charges to park, or any other news you haven't mentioned.

I don't wear lipstick, it is sparkle lip gloss sir.
It's all about discipline and focused practice!

Let me tell you what I know:

Sunday, July 10th at 11am at Irving Park, Battle Creek.

The clinic will have a putting emphasis but we will be flexible enough to stray off topic. I have a co-instructor lined up, Kirk (Luna) Haggadone, a Pro Master and superb putter. We have an invite pending to another instructor but it is still in the works.

I am not familiar with Irving Park and reside no where close to it. I would guess it is the site of a disc golf course but would not bet my life on it. The local host is Chad Curtis, who is likely a wealth of information if you have any idea how to reach him (we communicate through surreptitious methods I am not at liberty to reveal).

There is no charge for the clinic itself (I have no idea if the park charges an entry fee) and swag has been generously donated by Discraft.

Lipstick will not be required.

So, you found his number via pdga course locator? 0.o

But that all sounds good. No park entry fee either according to the course listing. me and my girl can't wait to be there. We'll be camping in Augusta that weekend, which is very close to B.C. :)
