Purple on Orange

I want to put a purple design on my orange disc. Is this possible or will the orange and purple combine to form some ugly shade of brown or black?

According to the color wheel, I "THINK" you'll get red. Or at least a reddish-brown from what I'm finding online.
Mixing equal parts of the two colors lead to a color that resembles mud. The more purple you add, the darker the color becomes; the more orange you add, the grayer the color will look.

it wont look good on clear discs but will pop on star and the likes. what kind of plastic you dyeing?

I'm want to dye one DX and possibly a star

DX don't really dye to well, star is very good to work with.

This is the latest list I've seen;

Plastic list from best to worst for dyeing.

CE/Z/Champ (including Millennium Q & Discmania C)/Opto - all dyes really well. Best plastic to dye.
Candy Pro - the early "Pro" champ type stuff. Dyes the same as champ, really well
Star (including Millennium & Discmania S)/ESP (including FLX)/Goldline - again, dyes really well, but will bleed faster than the above
Pro (including Millennium M & Discmania P)- the regular pro stuff. Takes dye well, but is prone to bleeding & fading after a short period of time compared to above plastics.
KC/JK/R Pro - between regular pro and baseline. Some doesn't dye as well, prone to very quick bleeding/fading.
D/DX/baseline - typically doesn't dye well, & if dyed fades REALLY fast.

Vibram - can't comment on it's ability to be dyed. I know it can be done, but as for fading/bleeding, I don't know.
Elite X - Haven't tried it. Would expect it to be similar to Innova's Pro.

Did this with purple on an orange ESP Impact. The purple did very well. I just did another ESP orange disc with purple and it was good too but I don't have a pic of it.

That is exactly what I want to do!!! I'm a student at Clemson and want to put some paws on my discs.
