I have a Kong and it is bad ass, just make sure to water proof it with some Nikwax or something similar and you'll be good to go. I got mine over a year ago and it looks like the day I bought it....save the mud, leaves, and wear & tear where the karabiner connect to the bag.

I use a spider with quads. Even loaded with discs and a water bottle it doesnt feel like you have any weight on your back.

I carry the squirrel monkey with quads, two gatorades, umbrealla, ect.. still feels like nothing. I dont think I will ever go back to a tourney bag. I've noticed since I got it I never set it down unless I am throwing, even to go stomping through the woods. It's light enough that I'd rather carry it than walk back to pick it up.

so i don't know how many of you reading this are from around the area i live in but a little over a week ago a guy ( Gabe Harder ) who lives about 45 min from where i'm at got into a serious bicycle accident, all ive heard is he was cruising down hill and lost control and hit a tree breaking just about every bone in his face and shattering a few vertebra, doctors didnt think he was gonna make it through the night. the reason i'm talking about this is cause the dude was big into dg and was very helpful with helping others at their events. I just met him this spring at the SRO..

so now there is going to be a tourney on july 31 to help him out since he has no insurance to help cover his expenses.

im not totally sure what all is gonna take place at this event but I have heard about plenty of different games and raffles will be going on to help raise money. i am goin to be donating a bag for a raffle prize.

I am also going to be making some thing i said i would never do and will be auctioning it off on ebay to help raise some money to help Gabe out.... ok so now your probably wondering what it is im gonna make.... well ... I decided that the one thing i could do to help Gabe out the most would be to make a LE Simian and put it on ebay so thats what im gonna do and it is going to happen soon since the event is coming up in a month. i will start workin on it as soon as im done with the chimps im working on right now and then once its done get some pictures up of it. I'm hoping i can raise a decent amount with it to donate towards helping out a great guy!

from what I have heard he had on a helmet but im not sure how much it may or may not have helped him. he was found unconscious right away by a neighbor who heard the crash and just so happened to be a nurse and then he had no ID on him and what my friend told me was they were able to Id him through his ipod some how

It's been almost two years since I bought my Simian and I've been very happy with it. It should be a second production run, if I recall correctly.

The original straps that were included has served me well until now, where they are becoming a bit uncomfortable in the heat where I dont wear so many layers of clothers.

Therefore I'm considering my options for replacing the straps. I've tried replacing the straps with my (very old) phenix quadstraps, which didn't really work. Should I get new quad straps and try again? Are any people using this or do you guys stick to the included straps?

Furthermore I understand that the straps have now been replaced with some of higher quality on the second version of the bag. Will these be compatible with the old bags and would it be possible to order these seperately? If so do you have an estimate of the price (including shipping to europe).

had my recent run sim for over a year (averaging probably 36 holes/day) now and i couldnt be happier with it. i was worried about the limited options with the attached straps, but theyre really cushy and break in to conform to the curvature of the shoulders nicely. outside of the color getting sun-bleached (mine is "wine and grey") on the top/seat area, it hasnt shown an iota of wear. i considered putting feet on the bottom of it to raise it off the ground or do a plastic dip...glad i didnt. completely unnecessary. the courses i play are largely rocky/sandy and eat up most bags. the material on the bottom isnt going anywhere

two places where minor tweaks could be used: the bottle holders are too loose for the amount of stuffing you put in them. this has resulted in all of the padding building into a chunk so im left with an insulated ball thats not doing a thing for 70% of the bottle.

second is i feel the area under the disc storage area is underutilized. i stuff my shirt in there sometimes or pop a can of beer when my side pockets are full (very rare...i love the real estate available in the side pockets), but the area is tough to access, even when storing only 11 discs in the main area.

minor stuff. the sim is the best bag on the market, hands down.

id really like to have a sim, but for someone who carries 11-13 non putters, but 3-5 putters, is there enough storage for all those things and other items, water, towels, clothing etc? Right now i have a Dual Pack, traded a grip for it cuz the grip didnt have the necessary storage for my over abundance of putters but the side pockets were plenty big for pretty much anything that wasnt a disc. Right now, the Dual Pack has the perfect amount of storage with that top pocket, can hold my 3-5 putters, shirt, towels etc. I would gladly rock a Sim if it had the necessary storage. Love my Kong, I think im spoiled

chris, keep in mind that once the sale is over, you will need to wait to ship the cash out to the person you are raising it for. once the sale is complete, wait for the invoice from eBay (note there there might be a way to pay your fees sooner, but i don't know it).

once you get that invoice, ebay will eat like 10% of you made. then, ensure that all fees are paid so you don't get another invoice next month, ........ then send the cash that's left over to the person you are raising it for.

Just got my LE Silverback today!! Sweet bag! It seems to have about a disc more room in the main compartment than my Chimp. Very nice indeed. Those side pockets are very large as well. The only problem I have with it is that I can't find my run number. Thanks for a great bag Chris!
