thumb pain?

before my carpal tunnel surgery, my right thumb would get tremendous pain after a hard drive. (since then it has lessened but is still there).

i have noticed that i have little strength to bend it back (away from my palm and fingers).

anyone have close to the same injury?

I haven't experienced that pain, although I do tape my thumb. My middle finger's nail cuts into the back of the knuckle of the thumb (as the disc rips away my fingers open, thumb goes downward, fingers spring back... and fast) thats the only thumb pain I get though.
