challenger

im thinking about getting a challlenger, they seem to be useful in the wind being as stable as they are. i push put so id wanna get one in a stiffer mold, are these as wind resistant as they say, are they accurate, are they pehaps too overstable to be reliable? does anyone push putt well with these?

I have been throwing the challenger for over five years. It does start out pretty stable and is good in the wind, granted you throw it right. As they beat in they become longer and straighter, very controllable. Yes, you can push putt with them.

I carry the soft and the D challengers. The latest batch of D plastic that I felt is really nice, stiff and tacky, almost like a harder version of the soft plastic.

Colombo pretty much hit it right on the head. I've been on the Challenger bandwagon since about 9 months after I started playing (bout 5 years) and haven't looked back. I putted Magnets before that and my putting/driving instantly improved once I switched due to the added stability of the Challenger (This especially holds true when the wind picks up.) As my form gets cleaner with time and practice I find myself pushing my Challengers farther and using them more off the tee. I now throw them on certain holes I used to use a midrange on and have greater accuracy. Colombo is also right about this latest run of D. I just got a super sexy black 174g D Challenger from Dynamic Discs and it's nice and stiff and tacky. I have all kinds of Challengers in my practice set but I putt/throw Pro D and throw stiffer FLX Challengers. I switch to a black soft x if I'm the midwest during the winter. All of my Challengers are 174g.

Super stiff sounds about right. Not too high on the sticky scale, but not slick either.

Just grabbed a few new pro d challengers and boy are they nice. Not super stiff, but they have great grip and tackiness. I know some like the real stiff ones, but these are like hard, soft challengers. Just how I like them!

The new D challengers are nice, very tacky and a little give in the flightplate. I've started throwing challengers again as they are straighter out of the box than BB aviars and just seem to be gelling with my game better (started playing a much bigger hyzer flip than I have been lately).

Stability wise the new D challengers are between a BB and SB aviar.

anyone have any experience with non warping (from tree hits) pro d challengers

All of my pro d Challengers will warp, some more than others. They usually go back after sitting flat overnight. They do start to bulge on the shoulders and the tops sink in, but I like that. Maybe try crystals ones?
