If you haven't been to Vince Whorley's Farm to play, this is the second course. More open, usually plenty of wind, and steep greens. This event will determine the seeding for the Battle of the Blue Ridge Team Challenge in the afternoon, so it will be a very full day. Also, BBO is the last tournament in our yearly Golden Ticket series. Low score in the division wins an invite to the Blue Ridge Invitational the following (7th) Sunday. That tournament will be played on Uber Ridge, an amalgam of both Vinces courses, which has never been played before. So, if you are in VA, come see us. More info at elkcreekdgc.info/forum.

Late fees will be applied towards the 15 % Fairfax County facility usage expense. Not to the purse.

Giles Run OB has been flagged

It took nearly five hours to mark the entire course.
Thanks to Tom Coffin for flagging holes 1 & 2 and Tom Usselman for helping with the remainder of the course.

OB is marked with three different methods.
Orange flags and OB Stakes on holes 1-3
White Flags and OB Stakes on holes 4 and 18 (Hole 4 has some safe areas behind the thorns on the left and In the trees on the right)
The remainder of the course is white flags only.
We tried to get as close to the thorns as possible but many locations were flagged at the mow line to improve flag visibility.

Latest Weather Channel wind forecast is 8 MPH out of the SSW so expect 10 to 15 MPH winds on the higher course elevations.

Late Fees go into effect at Midnight.

Am Divisions: Advanced Men, Women, Masters, Intermediate Men, Rec. and Juniors -- Entry Fees: $50
All current PDGA members will receive a $10 discount.
Ladies & Juniors will receive a $5 discount.

All players whose registration is received by August 31, 2011 will be entered in a raffle for a FREE BASKET and can take a $5 discount on their entry fee.
