@cmrichar: How the hell did you manage to get them here this fast? I wasn't expecting them for at least a week!

For my hand these are the grippiest IONs I've felt yet, slightly better than the opaque re-tooled ones. Can't wait to throw them!

How much grippier it is compared to a retooled soft 168? That should be flexier thus grippier than a full weight soft. Is it like hard P PD vs a medium hard tacky P PD? To which direction and how much does the core grippyness go from those plastics? I need a grippier Ion for the fall, winter and spring or i must switch putters to avoid 10' slips like i had in competition in pouring rain I've already used a P1 Maniac 175 and 167-169 soft APX for the laser lines that keep the height fairly well. Maniac being ok but worst in height keeping and dropping fast in the end. It is tacky enough, but the bugger is white so i need to color it for the winter. I've never gotten as much metal as i did with the Maniac on long putts in a round, but the lesser glide and harder fade meant, that none got in bah. APX is close enough in flight to the Ion i putt with, but i didn't putt as well on that day so less metal at longer ranges. If the grip is enough i think i will use the APX in cold and wet conditions unless the clear Ion is significantly grippier than my black non see through retooled soft 168 Ion.

It's not a big difference, but it's a bit grippier than my 172 re-tooled soft.

As you can probably tell the excitement of holding these bad boys is getting the better of me. That and too much coffee.

Not the only one, but I am in CA, so probably they will show up today. Dumbfounded that the overseas arrived as fast as they did, that is amazing.

99% sure there were only as many stamped as there were ordered.

I'm confused on why the 'disc' is the deepest groove/pit of the stamp though. Was that intentional?

it's an island on the die... not surrounded by metal like most everything else on the stamp. it gets slightly more pressure in stamping.

Frickin' UPS guy made me wait till 6:30pm to get me my discs.
These things look and feel great. Can't wait to get them to the course. Tough decision on which one goes in the bag now.

Went and threw a round with the two DGR Ions I got instead of my old reliables. I'm very happy with these discs, and they were not hard to find in the woods. I especially like the blue soft I got, made several long forehand putts with it.

Between ordering three of the dgr ions and winning the MVP facebook giveaway I decided to give them a shot at a spot in my bag. A real shot as a putter (was putting with rattlers), not just replacing my wizard which I really only carry for windy days/as a security blanket. After two rounds ions have putter duties. Maybe it's just bc the ice blue dgr stamp is magical but I was on fire with it.
