Final feelings of the Tali Open 2011:

Flat shots need running on the center line of the tee and planting each step on the center line. Anhyzer needs running from rear right to front left with the plant step hitting the ground to the left of the line you're running on. Hyzer is the mirror of that.

Thanks JR. I really dig Anne's standstill reachback like the 11:15 mark. Also, why did Paige retee after going OB on #12 15:15 mark?

Paige went OB left across the white line and there was a local rule on that hole, that said that you need to land inbounds, before you can move to your lie.

Anne is pronounced differently in Finnish than in English. Her reach back is text book for straight line pull in that throw.

That particular hole, with the island green made from hay bales suspended the OB run andd made it a BunCR rule as seen at the 2009 USDGC. So it's Distance but no Penalty Throw.

Yes there was no penalty stroke for going OB. The second throw was the second stroke on the card.

Outstanding video! In my limited viewing experience, I don't recall seeing a better shot and edited video. I appreciate the hole layout and score updates, the name and shot count overlays, and most of all the down the line disc flight path with in focus zoom ins from behind the tee pads.

In the first video at the 15:17 mark, why does Melody go for a step backwards anny instead of reaching out to the right and throwing her flick?

Thanks for sharing JR.

Thanks! I'm not sure, but maybe the fact that the fairway is on a hill with a steep drop to the right intimidated her. You would pick up a lot of strokes if you go down that jungle. Avery had trouble on that hole in the green going down the hill. He may have ruined his competition on that hole.

Again, excellent. I watched Uli's putt at the 6:15 mark about twenty times.

What's with the Innova transparent overlay in the lower right of the thrid video? Whad they giv ya?

I still haven't learned my lesson about playing for bogey... I see a small window line for par and more times than not I throw from one bad lie to another and end up with double bogey.

It's not appropriate for me to comment about that Innova and earlier Discmania stuff, because i don't have the facts and things might be in motion from what i've heard from lcgm8. So it is too early to comment anything else than personally not speaking for anyone i appreciate the effort Innova put to supporting European disc golf. I don't know if this is factual, but i have an idea in my head, that says that the funding for USDGC pro version as everyone knows it was diverted to grow the second largest disc golf region that is Europe. That in turn helps in growing the sport and should help the sport overall. And it is smart for Innova business wise if they get more customers. So i respect that and have no problem in giving visibility to the main sponsor of the European Open as a thank you for helping in arranging the event. Jussi Meresmaa said that Innova really went far in supporting the event. I'm sure that all the US players playing in the EO certainly liked being here competing on that great course.

Have you seen Scott Stokely DVDs? He makes a good point about why and when you go for it and when you don't.

Various shots pulled out of the fire. That is my SD card died and this is, what lcgm8 was able to salvage from a day's work:

On a happier note EO 2011 round 2 part 1 with Doss, Feldberg, McBeth and Paju:
