150 Lovers

I have been wondering how S-line 150g PD's fly. Because if those are not too understable when thrown really hard I could buy one for specialty shots/for distance shots.

Of the 7 or 8 150 S-PDs I have all are quite stable except one, and it weighs 147, is rather bendy and has the Freak stamp. The two pale yellow First Runs are more stable than the stiff, champy-star, chartreuse regular stamp ones, which are bombers. I think they are the best 150 class drivers I've thrown.

I also think that PD 150 is the sweetest disc in that weight range.

I did for a while (DX). LIked them OK when they were brand-spankin' new (slightly longer, faster Orc-ish flight), but they beat to rollers pretty much immediately.

150g QOLF

my go to thumber disc. I had a mental block with overhead shots because I tore my AC Joint a couple years ago. The 150g doesn't require a ton of power and is easy to control. Anytime I have a disc in the shule I usually pull out my 150g QOLF to get me out of trouble

More love for the 150 teebirds. I have 3 11x 154g teebirds that are money!!! Those discs made me look at other lighter discs, which as improved my game tremendously.
Im a little guy so I broke free of the Max weight stigma pretty easily. Only thing I have a hard time dropping weight on is buzzz's. Need to pick up a couple light ones and head to Japan!!

i had a z buzzz for a while that was marked 160-164 and it was more stable than my buzzzes in the 170s. it was super flat and the plastic was stiff for as light as it was.

Agreed. XL would probably still be my main fairway driver if 150 XLs were available in decent plastic.

I picked up a 145 surge, that thing is incredible. It seems to be a little more stable than my 150 valk, and I have been able to get it out farther than anything else. I would say it has some good stability for such a light disc, it just glides forever.

After 36 holes with a 150 S CD in the bag, I have a new distance lineup (all 150s):

Champ Valk - turnable, low fade
Star Valk - S-curve goodness
S CD – a notch more stability without sacrificing too much glide

CD has a Valk bottom, so it grips like a Valk. This could be new disc syndrome, but the CD and Valks seem to cover the distance spectrum nicely in three fairly equal jumps. Can't wait to get out on the course again.

My daughter just won the FJ4 division of the Monarch Migration Ladys Tourney in Sacramento Ca using an all 150's bag. She is 10 years old, so the heavier discs are a little much for her yet. Her goto driver is a 148g Lat64 Diamond. She pounded that thing for 4 rounds in 2 days to win by 14 strokes.

She also throws a 150g XL, Aviar, Pro TeeBird, and an old school 153g Gummy flat top TeeBird that she got from me. Other than the gummy T, she can turn them over pretty nice. It sure was nice carrying such a light bag around for 2 days.

what are the high speed driver in tis weight.

Hero Disc has Star Destroyers ("super stable") and Star or Champ Orcs. DGC has Archons and S PDs < 160. What are you looking for?
