The options being reviewed do include at least one of the "big draw" courses (read: established) and maybe more depending on what you consider the "big draw" courses. There are some newer courses that look as good as the older better known courses including potentially some not even playable yet.

cool. i have played quite a bit in Charlotte and would like some familiarity when I go to Worlds. I dont want all brand new not broken in courses. any talk of bringing Reedy into the mix??

Reedy is strictly a back up. They would rather have it available for rec play so at least one 18-hole course is playable during the day somewhere in Charlotte.

i can live with that. i would like to get to play Renny. but would settle for the Nest. any chance of using the gold or web layouts?

Hornets, Renny and a few holes at Nevin will be special hybrid layouts for Worlds primarily to minimize holes known to back up. So you'll get some of each and some you maybe haven't yet seen. All course layouts will be tested in some event over winter and next spring so there hopefully won't be any surprises before Worlds.

The revision is in progress. I'm involved so believe it's happening.

I think a lot of people got upset because communications were very poor...if instead the original schedule proposal had been put out there as "one idea out of many options, but we'd like feedback before we set anything in stone" kind of thing, the entire affair would have gone very differently, everybody would feel happy, and feel like they have a voice.

The organizing committee can avoid immense trouble in the future by being more pro-active and communicating better.

And...nobody should wait for the PDGA to communicate relevant info, because they won't.
