woah your bag looks a lot like mine in the driver section except I'm messing with the Northman and flow right now and haven't hopped on the TD wagon yet (mostly because I'm broke and can't afford new discs).

How you liking the flow? I'm digging my GL one and not really digging the opto one I have.

I didn't like it that much, but take into account that I didn't give it a large amount of time before I took it out of my bag.

Just didn't like having to try and find the sweet spot where it would turn a little but not too much. Seemed to be a very narrow speed range, either it wouldn't flip up all the way, or it would flip over too far. Generally it would finish with some fade at the end of its flight even if it flipped a lot, but it would use up way too much left to right fairway to do so.

So, you're probably aksing yourself, "Hey, where did all those comets go?" Well, honestly I haven't been using them as much lately. Summit has been used a lot for finesse approaches, and the spring winds - and they seem worse around here this year - haven't allowed me to use the comet off the tee as much as I'd like. I find myself using my cryztal challenger a lot more where I used to throw a comet, and the S-MD2 seems very capable of turnover drives off the tee as well. The comet is still my fav disc, even though I'm not using it right now, and that even seems odd to me.

I really liked the MD2s, but I just don't think I can play without my comets! If someone took them from me and told me to find a new midrange, I'd most likely give the MD2 a significant role in my bag, probably my primary midrange (and that might happen eventually, but not till I have more practice with them)

Finally got a new backpack bag! It's a Gateway Backpack bag (not the Ozark bag) and it's got a perfect amount of space in it for what I want to carry, while being insanely more comfortable than a quad shock setup. OrionLFs are now a primary staple disc in my bag, I threw numerous fantastic shots with them off the tee this weekend - too bad my long approach game wasn't working too well (and I forgot how to putt in the rain in Rd4). Going to give MD2s some serious time in the bag for right now. Obviously I can go back to Comets whenever, but this is one midrange I need to spend more time with before making a final decision on it. It really does seem like a fantastic disc.

Simplifying things a bit more. Consistency is coming back slowly, fewer wrenches to throw at problems means I have to get better at using wrenches (that makes sense in my head). Eagles and OrionLFs cover most everything that I don't throw a Comet on, and are usable at all ranges I use my drivers. Nice short/long fairway combo.

Starting to get my health back, and starting to feel really good about this setup. I seem to have lost my touch driving my Comets though, need to work on that a little bit more. My straddle pitch putt has also returned to me, which is a really good indication of my back feeling normal again since I haven't been able to use it consistently since the injury last November.

Sooooooo...switching some molds in and out again....but it's always the same couple of discs. Back on Rocs right now, with a comet compliment. Took out the summit in favor of a beat D challenger, which I can accomplish pretty much the exact same shots with anyway.

This setup (or variations listed above) should work pretty well for me going forward. I was immediately comfortable with Rocs back in the bag since they have been my primary midrange on and off since I've started playing. I'm going to stick with this lineup at least until the end of September.

considering putting rocs and eagles back in and taking stalkers and hornets out, mainly for comfort reasons.

the stalker seems to fit better range wise with the rest of my lineup since it fits nicely between how far I'm throwing OLFs and hornets. I can't convince myself either way what I should do. More experience with the eagle but they overlap more with OLFs.

Are you only throwing the EX mold? Or do you also throw the EL? I like the EX/EL combo. It works very nicely as my next progression from roc's.

I was using a champ ex, a worn star ex, and a dx eL. I really liked using both molds since the eL is a good straight disc to start with and wears into a nice turnover disc.
