"New disc from Gresham OR. just arrived today: The Skyquest Medusa. Spent the morning throwing it and wasn't disappointed. Plastic is very tacky and is easy to snap off the finger, however the disc feels durable (still testing it) like star or ESP plastic. Disc has lots of glide and has a great flight path. We have it @ 10 6 -2 2 Check it out:

So yeah, they're coming out with a new disc: L13. According to their Facebook page it's an "ultra long range driver... s=11.5,g=5,t=-1,f=2".

Possibly the worst disc name ever?

I got a couple at the NAAC they fly like an arcon or faster star beast and the plastic feels like grippy flx. solid disc but not groud breaking.

spent more time in the field with the medusa today, and i would have to say it is what the archon was supposed to be it flew very similar to my star archo just between 10' and 15' longer on every throw because it has some glide. Not great glide but good glide. I love to hyzer flip when thrown flat in the 375' range it would turn for most of the flight then come back rather hard at the finish, i let one of the ladies i play with trow one for a round and she really liked it her comment was "its like a longer champ sidewinder".

spent some more time with the medusa today and the plastic felt great in the cold. after a few more rounds with it i have found a few things. first, the best description of the flight is a longer faster x cyclone. It has a very slow turn and comes back prett hard. Second the disc really excells at hyzer flipping. Third the plastic is very similar to flx and doesn't roll well at all. Forth it doesn't skip well at all. And finally it has a very fairway driver way of not flying too off course when it hits a tree. All these things make for a very interesting disc.

Mine is yellow and weights 171
on joes chart i would rate it 5 -1.5 3 4

Have you throw the L13 yet? I'm auditioning just about every fairway on the market, can't find one of these to test out but really want to.

Had a pretty extended convo with someone at the course today who said they had emailed Skyquest trying to buy a couple discs and were turned away because it wasn't a wholesale order, said he was basically referred to their list of vendors on the website if he was unable to find the discs locally.

Idk if that's true but if so makes me a Sad Panda, sounds like they're even making it hard for people in state to get a hold of this plastic.

Got to throw a medusa over new year's weekend. The thing was super flippy and would only come back if thrown high enough to slow down a bunch. It was really nose angle sensitive and hated anything that wasn't a tailwind. Pretty meh disc.
