INNOVA COMPETITION CADDY PACK

Postby GeorgeDubya » Wed Feb 15, 2012 8:34 pm

http://www.discnation.com/Innova-Compet ... f-Bag.html

Looking to upgrade to a larger bag and I'm leaning toward this one. Does anyone have any experience with this? How is the seat? Also, does the "lumbar support" in the straps actually help? I'm ok with the price, but I would hate to order one without trying it and find out it's terrible. Thanks in advance for any help, and feel free to offer other alternatives as well. I'm looking for a bigger bag that will hold at least 15-20 discs and 2 nalgene bottles.

The drawback to the competition bag, which is a part of this set, is that it doens't have alot of space for storage. I don't recall exactly but I think they make a set with the DisCaririer which is much better in that regard.

Thanks for the reply. Innova is the first place I looked just because it's what I know. Any other bags to check out before I make the leap? This will be the first bag I've spent more than $30 on.

I don't want to go too far above 150 but I can stretch it for a bag with a lot of good references. I'm hoping to get one that I can stick with for a few years.

Then you shouldn't touch innova bags, they're not too known for their durability. Anything from Gorilla boy(http://www.gorilla-boy.com/store/) and Revolution will be top notch in quality, I'd go with gorillaboy myself if I had to make the choice between those two and had the cash. Either of those choices should last for many years.

Latitude64 makes a decent bag too, but it's not as good as what gorilla and revo can offer. Grip EQ makes an excellent backpack model, but I think it's around 200USD.

The Discarrier version would be better yes, and from what I've heard the stool is pretty OK and the lumbar support does indeed work. Though personally I think their pricing for those is extortion, the Discarrier bag by itself costs 79 USD and with the stool it's 159 USD, so you're paying 80 USD for the stool. I'd buy a normal bag and a separate stool.

Never heard of Gorilla Boy before. I'll have to check them out along with the Carolina. Thanks for the tips. Now all I need to do is get my wife to work attaching a stool to some quad straps, lol.

GB is a small operation but makes excellent quality bags that are pretty insanely durable. Well worth the investment.

You might also look into Voodoo bags. They're making good stuff.

Gorilla Boy makes a backpack with a built in stool as well.

I love the look of the voodoo karma and they seem to have some pretty good opinions from people out there. I think that's the one I will be going with. Thanks for the advice guys!
