Talking Disc Golf With Dave Feldberg

Dave was being a jackass to both Nikko and Will last weekend. He was telling them during the round that he was going to kick them out of his RV, and that they need to find another ride to Vegas. It made a very bad impression.

the NONSTOPDISCGOLF honeymoon is already over after one tournament? dave used to fuck with nikko's head all the time when nikko first started showing up on the lead card. i hope they are filming this adventure. i hope that nikko isn't the camera man, tho. he needs to sharpen his cinematic skills or it's gonna look like the blair witch project.

I have been in Portland Oregon for the past week and a half getting everything ready for the West Coast swing. CSUMB Otter open is the first tour stop this coming weekend. I am traveling with three of my good friends and competitors this season, Dave Feldberg, Will Schusterick and Cale Leiviska. We are all part of the NONSTOPDISCGOLF TOUR and we are planning on 40 tournaments, around 80 league nights, 15 of our own Nonstop Disc Golf tournaments, all Majors, NT’s, and Europe of course. We have been doing a lot of brainstorming about our plans and tour stops for 2012, we are looking for spots to set up clinics and demonstrations all year long and hope to spread the love of disc golf into the mainstream.

Also, Nikko is quietly negotiating a sponsorship with Innova, which seems to bother Dave since Nikko is keeping the details secret.

Anyways, I feel sorry for any of the great disc golfers who have to play on their cards on this tour. The drama is over-the-top.

Heh, I wish it were "no drama" updates. Personally, I don't like seeing this kind of BS get in the way of great disc golf.

On the other hand, I've had an opportunity to see Will Schusterick show excellent character and sportsmanship. He did his best to stay positive, and tried not to get razzed by the drama. He went out of his way to apologize to Jere Eshelman, the 4th guy on their card last Sunday (Jere is the 2011 NorCal Champion, a soft-spoken hippie from Grass Valley, and a phenomenal putter). Will lost by one stroke, I think everybody was pulling for him by the end of the 2nd round.

i'm predicting many stops along the nonstopdiscgolftour2y12. there's a lot of time and very little separation on the tour schedule- 40 tournaments, 80 leagues, and "flight school." those dudes are going to be in each other space and competing against each other all summer. somebody is gonna get left behind or shanked before it's over. i haven't been this pumped about professional disc golf since realizing how boring it is after 09 worlds.
