Thanks jesse. I also started exploring dubstep years ago after I saw Bassnectar play on the same bill as Zilla (was there for Zilla (a Michael Travis (String Cheese Incident) project.) It's not my favorite music by any means but I like some of it. I personally feel that EOTO is and has been owning all types of electronic music for years now because they do it live and improvised with no prerecorded samples. So pumped to see them tomorrow.
Ha, I didn't even know dubstep existed until Jason Kottke linked to it a few months ago. Since then, I've been enjoying Bassnectar but haven't really branched out much from there. Overall dubstep seems more interesting that techno/house to me.
Nice, Nightmares on Wax has been on my list of stuff to check out for a while now. I hear Pipes Honour pretty regularly on Groove Salad.
I didn't get into this band until Blake said he didn't like them. I was like "wtf is that?" and loved them. Blake has good taste in music, but also doesn't like some bands that are quite great. The Wedding Present being one of them. They sound like a weird cross between Jawbreaker and The National, but with more epic choruses. And they're English.
