Still haven't pulled the trigger on this yet. I've since looked into the MH series and SC series from US cutter, the Roland Stika SV-12, and the Silhouette Cameo. MH series seems to be the cheapest but i'm concerned about it being sort of out of date, I guess you really need a serial port and windows XP to run it well?
SC series looks cool and I might end up getting the 24" but I haven't really talked to anyone that's used it so it makes me semi nervous to pick it up. Plus, 24" is way bigger than I need for disc dying. I guess I could cut two designs at once...
Roland Stika SV-12 is semi-retardedly expensive. I guess when you want the best you pay for it. Read a lot of good things about it, seems like a very hardy machine at a nice 12" size. Pushing $700 is kinda ridiculous for a on the side hobby.
Silhouette Cameo I had high hopes for as craft people and hobbyists seem to love it. Then I read more into it and there's all kinds of complaints about the cutting blades and it requires a sticky mat to hold down the medium you're cutting for all cuts! F that.
So I guess in a nutshell i'm deciding between the MH series 14" or the SC series 24". Or trying to get a Roland stika off craigslist or some shit. I'm making this more difficult than it needs to be aren't I?
I am dumb.
