If it did not have that slow onset of fade it would lose a lot of D. It ain't exactly a short disc but for sure it ain't a max distance disc.

Been there, done that, put about 60-70 degrees of hyzer on it. =)Jeronimo wrote:I would have loved to watch ANYONE throw a King 450'. Not saying you didn't do it, just saying I would love to see it. I can't imagine throwing a King more than 300' before it hit ground from flipping over 180° and started rolling.

JR has some pretty darn stable Kings though. He also has very stable Northmen, all of mine need about 45 degrees of hyzer on a 70% pull to not turn and burn. They are amazingly effortless though, that 70% pull can easily carry to around 380-400' in calm conditions. You know those really understable Rivers? Kinda like that but a bit faster and perhaps even more glide. Insane.

I don't believe it. I have 3 Kings (lol) and all three of them will turnover nearly 180° upon release. I'm barely exaggerating here. 450'? No. Way.
Yup, that's my King right there.JR wrote:I don't think you got a shitty batch of Kings per se. They just are made in so totally different shapes that they should be named to be two completely different discs. If the King is flat it does not matter what the PLH is it will flip hard at low power and be totally useless for anything else than rollers or flick of the wrist shots for 400' crowd. A VIP King with good dome and a high PLH is not flippy. A VIP King with a similar good dome but a low PLH will flip some but is still hyzer flippable to 450' albeit far from a flat angle.
