Heard this cat (and the first tune) on WEMU radio coming home from the golf course the other day, had to track him down and have another listen. Dude started soloing as I left the park and he was still at it several miles later. Didn't even recognize the instrument initially and was thought I might be hearing Coltrane for a few moments.

Now I have a favorite bag piper, which I usually don't care to listen to except from a long, long, distance and a few closed doors. Tried to use Rufus Harley as a starter on Pandora to see where that takes me, but too obscure, unfortunately.

My grandfather was a Piper in the El Jabel Pipe Band. Bagpipes will always have a special place in my heart so thanks for sharing that gem.

Related to the bagpipe thing. Orbital mixing one of their classic tunes via bagpipes

I actually like death cab... and I think it's funny that girls like them. They have one song(and more like it) about screwing a girl, bouncing before she wakes up and leaving a note that basically says the night meant nothing to him.

I never really listened to Bowie much since most of his stuff that I had heard is overrated and outdated, but fuck if this album isn't amazing. It holds up where I think his other albums falter.
