The Obex is a pretty nice disc. Got some throws in with it today in the field. Will try to get some time with it on the course later this week.

Obex thoughts after a couple of dozen field throws:
Love the feel of the bead. Much more comfy to throw (for me) than the Ibex, both forehand & backhand.
The medium rubber has a bit more flex in the flightplate than some other mediums I have tried, but with the rim staying quite rigid.
Flight reminds me very much of a Griffin. A bit faster & more overstable than a Roc for me, but with similar glide.
I tried it for just a couple of tommies, but it just wasn't OS enough to make me happy. It tightly flipped all the way over pretty much immediately & crashed down pretty short (<250).

More testing is needed, particularly in "on-course" conditions.

Is the Obex out yet? If not when will it be released? Is it good in the wind? I would imagine so.
Flat shots need running on the center line of the tee and planting each step on the center line. Anhyzer needs running from rear right to front left with the plant step hitting the ground to the left of the line you're running on. Hyzer is the mirror of that.

WTF I must have been taken of the tester list for some reason? This makes me sad.

I just received mine on Monday, a week after I had been hearing everyone else getting theirs. It still may be in the mail. I guess the question is, when were you normally getting yours in the past compared to other people? Starting with the Ascent I found I was usually one of the last ones to receive them. They always came, though.

My tester just arrived on Monday. Haven't tried it out yet, but it looks like they are trying to do the buzzz(ibex)/wasp(obex) thing. The rubber feels great on this one and the color is great, blue / green kinda swirl with multi color flakes in it.

From tester of '1 of 3' Vibram über-rarity to persona non grata. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

Not a huge fan of the color I received. Mostly green. It was suppose to be mix of green and pink, but most of the pink is on the underside of the disc, leaving most of the top green. Ultimately I am not complaining though. It is a free disc, one that has a ton of potential. I was able to get out and take about 15 throws with it yesterday. I like what I saw in those limited throws; HSS seems close to the Ibex in the 60-70% power range with a more predictable fade. That is what we were expecting out of it right? So nothing apparently new to report, but it felt more comfortable in the hand, giving me more confidence to throw it on my intended line despite not knowing what it truly would do.

I bought a ridge to replace a classic roc, And am super bummed to find out the disc flies like a brick. No glide, even though the 2 discs have remarkably similiar designs.

If you bought a Ridge expecting a Classic Roc, you deserve what you get for not doing a lick of meaningful research.
