Man, polls are fun.
So I'm sure some of you have noticed the Orioles doing nasty things this year (I know I have) but can they keep it up? As a life-long O's fan, I would love to see it. Ballgames have just been so much more fun to watch this year than in years past as the comeback is always within reach.
Anyway, two of my buddies have made a slap bet (one full bore slap to the face) on the Orioles being a winning ball club in 2010. Do you think they have what it takes to win 56 more games?

Stop playing with your balls and throw a disc.
Flat shots need running on the center line of the tee and planting each step on the center line. Anhyzer needs running from rear right to front left with the plant step hitting the ground to the left of the line you're running on. Hyzer is the mirror of that.

I hope the guy who took the winning side knows he already lost the bet badly!

I'm surprised his mind isn't frozen back in 2001 instead of 2010, because I thought the world ended for Orioles fans when Cal Ripken Jr. retired.

I just have to think that somebody will get injured and start a spiral pretty soon. They're actually a pretty good club and it's weird to see.
Some discs of various sizes, weight, plastic and mold.

actually they have a bunch of injuries already. Reynolds, Reimold and Britton are all out and would really be useful.

The Nats have been hit with the injury bug a bit worse though I think.

The Orioles are bringing Machado up this evening. Probably a tactic to fill seats but he can't be worse than Betemit defensively.

It's crazy that they have bounced back up into the wild card hunt. Their run differential is -47. It is 70 runs worse than any other American league team in serious playoff contention. Yet, there they are. Somehow they are getting it done with smoke and mirrors.
I watched an O's/A's game a couple of weeks ago, and it was hard to figure out who I was rooting for. I want both of those teams to do well.

Yeah it's weird. The O's win a lot of close games then get completely shelled every once in a while (like tonight).

So far, so good with Manny Machado. Asking a 20 year-old prospect to spark you into the playoffs while playing out of position isn't usually a great idea, but maybe this kid can handle the pressure.
