revamp of original site?

Postby keltik » Mon May 21, 2012 11:13 am

I remember a while back Blake mentioned something about a Version 2 of the base DGR website. anything ever come of that?

also I've been thinking about the base site and the base site for DGCR. Over their users are allowed to upload the location/photos/maps/links etc. for individual DG courses all over the world. At one time this site was all about individual golf discs and user based reviews of said discs. Is there any way we could bring this back or make it anew? I know Blake has his own personal commitments as do all of us, but is there any interest out there to spruce up the front end site for this forum? or am I pissing in the wind?

in short would it be wise to "copy" DGCR for disc reviews here?

The DGR V2 forum is still visible for those of us that volunteered but it pretty much petered out. I think there was a dude in charge of the revamp but I don't remember who he is.

I worked on it for a while then there was some server issues so it made it difficult to work on. I can't remember who was in charge either.

it halted when the forum moved servers and was down for like a month.

would love to get it going again but i haven't had the motivation to do so. if someone wants to spearhead it, i know the back end work is like 70% done.
