OK, I'm officially smitten. It's as straight as the old IONs, but more HSS, so tolerates wind and OAT better (it's harder to turn than my new clear DGR IONs). The glide is very nice, the speed also, and I don't think I've ever dialed in this quick with a disc before.
Simply put, it's everything I fell in love with with the old IONs with added distance and reliability.

Very first throw with my new Soft Anode was a 35' uphill putt yesterday and I nailed it. I've had a handful of tosses with it since then and am liking it a lot, but I'll keep it on the bench for now until after the tournement this weekend.

I just grabbed a few anodes a couple weeks ago and I've noticed the flight plates are all sunken in (two are hardly noticeable but one is at least a quarter of an inch). Is this normal? Will it have a noticeable affect on the flight? Is it worth trying to fix or no?
I'm always surprised at how stable they are when I drive with them, and I love how they fall forward on putts instead of dying off to the left when they slow down the way my wizards did.

Mine are slightly sunken in and fly great so no probs and i ain't touching mine. Don't fix what ain't broken. Sunken flight plates give better grip. Of course a taller dome would slow the disc down a little and make it glide more but i don't see a lack in the flight paths as it is and a lower disc cuts through the wind better.
Flat shots need running on the center line of the tee and planting each step on the center line. Anhyzer needs running from rear right to front left with the plant step hitting the ground to the left of the line you're running on. Hyzer is the mirror of that.

Thanks for the reply JR, I won't be messing with mine either. They really do fly great and have ample glide, just not having thrown any before, I wasn't sure if the ones I had were normal or not.

I do think it is a game, a child's game dappled with drugs, cursing and the occasional demon rum.
