Aero vs Anode?

Just a quick question. I occasionally put a champ Aero in my bag for courses with a lot of trees. I normally put/approach with an ion but the Aero holds the anny lines much better. Since you can't get the champ Aeros anymore, I was wondering if the anodes could replace them? I need it to hold the line the whole way and level out at the very end......if not the anode what putter

Get a dart.

darts do not fly like aeros. i sometimes use a dx aero with great results. it holds a slight anny even at slow speeds beautifully.

And that's different from a Dart how?

The main difference should be the speed, the Dart is really dang fast for a putter, but it's also just about the most neutral I've ever seen. Really hard to turn, has barely any fade even when stalling.

Yeah I was wondering about the anode, but figured something like a dart or wedge.

The andoe is gonna be more stable and less glidey. Also faster.

Pretty much any putter can do this:

hold the line the whole way and level out at the very end

That shot is dependent on speed and nose angle so you can learn to do it with nearly any putter. If you're looking for a short approach disc (say under 150') to run baskets with, a lid (Rattler, Sonic, Birdie, etc.), or beat baseline Aviar/Magic/Magnet type putter is a good choice.

For longer approach shots, I agree that a Dart is a fine choice, but so is any other putter. It's largely a matter of learning to control whichever one you choose. The Wedge is probably not the best choice, but it does have a unique feel that some people like, and it holds a line pretty damn well (until you power it up). It's more speed & nose angle sensitive than most of the other options though.

I didn't like the Ion and Anode. For me, the farther I was from the basket, the better they performed. But the closer I got, the less useful they were. They power up well, but they're fairly overstable at close range in comparison to lids and beat baseline plastic putters, and those are the discs I'm used to using.
