Good news my friend. You won't have to buy a new putter every month because putters, even ones that hit lots of trees, can maintain their stability for a long time at shorter distances.
I also prefer a beat up putter for those distances anyway. The loss of a bit of LSS means they fade out less and can be manipulated on more lines.
That happens for me, too.
