You guys are not alone on the crazy putter setups. I carry a rhyno, opto pure, beadless aviar setup with 2 wizards for putting duty. Staying with the lat 64 thread though; my pink opto pures are tits and caused me to stop driving with wizards.

To everyone else, How do you spot a good river? PLH? The Dome? What are the characteristics of your ideal river?

Nice dome WITHOUT the dip on the very center of it. Diameter differences are quite common as well, and I'd say the larger the diameter the better it is. So domey big diameter rivers without the center dome dip. And of course PLH plays a role as with any disc out there, but rivers are pretty consistent as long as you stay far, FAR away from the flattish and the very low domed ones.

Removed flashing and tuned my opto flow more, added ~ 1mm dome and brought down wing ~ 1mm. Its very good now. Threw it back to back with my two pro destros several times, all are 167-68. Flew very similar now. Straight, maybe 3-5 foot turn out to 325 then tiny fade into finish, finishes within +/- 5 feet. I really like the plastic, very nice. Ankles hurting now (still recovering from break).

This opto flow is great. More consistent but just slightly shorter then my pro destros. Got a bunch more throws today, super consistent. Buying more.

Opto Mercy comes out, Bye Bye Pure.

I'm hoping for an opto Mercy to come out as well. I love my EZE Mercy and the plastic has been holding up very well, but I am still apprehensive about driving with it. On my home course, most of the holes short enough to drive are wooded and I don't want to take any chances. When/if they release it in opto, I will kick my Aviar out of the bag.

Don't really know what people are going on about the EZE warping and/or chipping easily. I've thrown mine against trees several times with pretty significant speed and there's no chips, no real scrapes either, just a bent nose which one can bend back into shape in no time against the nearest tree.

Of course it does warp, but not any worse than Pro-D or DX.

It's definitely more durable than DX, but I haven't been driving with it. It's handled some tree hits on approaches fairly well and I was surprised at how well it's holding up after initially believing the durability was going to be a problem.

When I read that people are mangling their discs on drives, it makes me refrain from driving with mine. Sure, it could just be a fluke, but I don't want to risk it since I only have one right now and I'm becoming really attached to it for putting.

Not a huge fan of DX either though...

Worn in Grip line was one of the best putter plastics I've ever witnessed, in fact I'd say it is the best. Eze is good, but... I don't know, theres just something "meh" about it.

Sorry, but gripline is awful. It warps, clovers, and doesn't glide well. One tree hit and your putter may never return to proper shape. I guess you can say it has a good grippy texture and maybe it sticks in the chains well...but yeah it still sucks. I have never laid a hand on this EZE plastic or whatever but it would be hard for it to be worse than gripline. Even a mindless fanboy like yourself should be able to see the failings of GL.

I wouldn't drive with EZE as it's at best slightly better than zero line if not the same as far as durability. However, I will say after some rounds of golf and a few hundred backyard putts with my EZE Mercy the plastic is holding up fantastically. For only putts I have zero complaints about durability and I love the grip/feel.
