I had the privilege of speaking with Mr. Dodge at worlds and he had some really brightly colored vibram discs that he says are "in the works." Also, their new fast driver has a lot of promise. I threw a prototype that was quite understable and glidey but based on Mr. Dodges comments about it, I would expect later runs to stable up some and be quite nice.

looks pretty interesting. The only vibram I throw right now is a summit, but would like to try one of these hybrids out. I'm sure that the people who use the putters regularly will love these, I know I would.

I like the idea of softer top/nose and firm bottom/rim. I don't really get the half and half. I will probably end up getting a VP

is there a profile pic of the ibex and obex together somewhere? I found a vibram mid in the used bin today and it doesn't have the name imbossed on it and the only marking on the back are in with a F and the weight.

sounds like an Obex tester. They did not have names on them and were firm

But to be sure. Does it have a bead on the bottom of the wing? that is the main difference. Obex has bead, Ibex does not

it has a bead. I am looking foward to throwing it. It is new but the shop owner didn't know what it was so put it in the used bin for $6.

Obex firm surprised me. I thought it had a stiff fade but in the winds today it faded like the Ibex does in calm weather. Powered down FHs didn't add to the fade so mine is quite low LSS indeed. Very nice indeed flight wise and straight but i don't think it can handle hard headwinds. It was mild to moderate today mostly and at worst it flipped 2 degrees. No stiff gusts to check wind tolerance in. Very nice sidearms too.

I suppose the half and half is intended for the disc to be able to function all round the year in hot and cold and wet and dry weather.

Myth busted Firm blend ain't indestructible. I threw a firm 175 Obex in 80 degree hyzer angle high up to fall below the tee height with quite a bit of drop. It landed on granite and there are small say 1/10" diameter rocks on the bedrock too. The leading edge scrathced not deeply for 2/3".

Got my new tester today. Huge rim, soft/thin plate, and not the normal Vibram rubber feel.
