MVP Sunken Flight Plate

Hey guys, I'm looking for advice on how to solve a problem...I just received an order on Monday from DiscNation.com for an MPV Anode and Axis. The Axis is great, but the Anode was received with a sunken/collapsed flight plate. I got them in a single large padded envelope. The thing is, Anode was stacked on top of the Axis and was suction-cupped onto it, holding the flight plate collapsed through its long (and likely hot) delivery transit, resulting in a collapsed disc.

I played with both discs yesterday, and while the Axis is and flies beautifully, the Anode seems to drop like a rock. I eventually got annoyed enough that I started just putting with the Axis and kept the Anode in the bag. I don't know if the flight characteristics just how this putter is, or if it has to do with the sunken flight plate. Should I try getting in contact with DiscNation (or maybe MVP?) to return the disc? Would they even accept the return since I've already played with it once? Should I just try to fix the flight plate myself?

Any advice would be most appreciated. Thanks!

boil some water, put the disc upside down on a hard, flat surface like a counter top, pour boiling water inside disc, let sit for 15-20 mins.

If that happens, don't throw it and talk to DN. Not sure what they can do with a used disc. zj9000 and leopard are DN minions, so they may chime in

This/ I do this with my tree bent and warped discs all the time. Plastic regains its memory very well most of the time. If need be put something flat inside the disc with the hot water to compress it perfectly flat against the counter.

The suction cup thing is why innova uses those little white stickers on the bottom of the disc.

Just enough thickness on the sticker to prevent an air tight seal!

Anodes have a sunken in flight plate at least all of those that i've seen in Finland and some here have reported the same about Anodes in the states too.

I prefer to leave the disc outside right-side up all day to warm up and activate its plastic memory, as it's the least intrusive method. But some people need the hot water upside down thing to force flatness.

They're right about throwing the discs; returns can't work unless you've left it as it was shipped - however the disc can probably be fixed without a return necessary. It's common for discs to get mistreated in shipping and we have about 95% success with people using sunlight or hot water. A ton of discs have to be fixed like that from the manufacturer as well. Might take a day or few for that memory to kick in but that method works.

I'll talk to the shipping guys about wedging the coupon or receipt in between non-stickertabbed discs.

We try to put the receipt/coupon inbetween to protect the discs

the axis is so large diam,that the anode probably didn't have room to move around and just suctioned on

I'll bring it up with the packing crew as well.

Don't leave your mvp discs out in the sun to long. They will fade and lose a lot of their color if left out too long.

Like I said, one day should do it. The warmth is what it needs, not UV light.
