Dirtys Bag

Postby Thatdirtykid » Sat Aug 18, 2012 2:22 pm

Between the kid (soon to be kids) and having recently bought a restaurant (65+ hours a week). I haven't been playing much. The bag I have been carrying is slim. And just got slimmer. I just lost my main putter, a beat medium ion that was my perfect left to right finishing putter driver/mid. As well as my only X Comet.

That leaves me with:

Soft Ion (main putter filling in for the lost one)
Med Ion (stable drives)
Pro Rhyno (putter drives with fade and a ton of forehand)
Z Comet
Esp Cyclone Beat
Esp Cyclone New
Z Pred Beat (worn in to overlap cyclones a bit)
Z Pred New (good old one from the stack)
Z Nuke
Z Force

I wouldn't even bother with the force or nuke if I didn't like showing off.

The thing is, I dont want to buy discs (maybe barter some) and I have always hated putting with ions (although they are great for outside the circle) and I don't have any wizards/warlocks/magic/challengers left. Oh well, I am not trying to get back to competing seriously, just out for casual rounds/leagues.
Any new putters out there that I need?

No learn to love the Ion because it is a great laser putter. Pitch i avoid as much as possible so YMMV. Some praise the Mercy but i haven't thrown it so what do i know? It feels very stiff. Have you tried an Opto Pure? It is the softest tackiest Opto i've felt and second best grip of primo plastic i've felt after the Prodiscus. Unless you have access to the tackier CE plastics.
Flat shots need running on the center line of the tee and planting each step on the center line. Anhyzer needs running from rear right to front left with the plant step hitting the ground to the left of the line you're running on. Hyzer is the mirror of that.

I have thrown the ion for a few seasons now, and do love it, even for putting. My putting consistency just goes to crap with the frequency I play and I love to blame the ion. I did play a round with a friends discs and putted lights out with a warlock recently. I am sure it was more because the new disc made me focus more. Still lost my go to ion, and would make for a good time to try something new.
