You're going to end up building your own bag sooner or later, might as well be sooner.

I've seriously considered it. I probably would have if I knew how to sew. My mom is a killer seamstress, so I may have to employ her skills

Or take an existing bag and build a frame, many such contraptions have worked out really well.

I'd like to see the two bags side by side to get a better idea how they compare. If anyone can do that it would be great.
I still like the Kong for tournament play and the Silverback for more casual rounds. I know they aren't backpacks. Maybe GB is looking into that. Although they already have 7 models. And Chris has no time to himself as it is.
DGDave, you will never be happy no matter what bag you get.

My prodiscus bag is my tourney bag. It is a big ass bag but it doesn't get use for every round. I still use my old silverback for casual rounds. I think the prodiscus bag would be too much for me to carry as my main bag.

I am having a similar problem to frank with my prodiscus as my everyday bag. When I play a tournament round, I may carry 23 discs, an umbrella, 3 drinks, 3 towels, etc. The prodiscus swallows all that up and still rides great. My normal rounds at the home course however, I only need 10 discs one drink and a towel. The prodiscus is huge overkill for this and I go back to using my innova bag because it works better underfilled than the prodiscus bag does.

That makes me much more happy with me getting a grip and canceling my prodiscus order a few months back.

I've not seen a prodiscus in person but I find that my Grip is very scalable in the sense that I can cram a bunch into it or only a 10 or so for casual rounds. It definitely holds everything I could need (layers, trex, beer.... whatever) for a round in any condition.

I went with the prodiscus bag b/c the grip is too large for my everyday use also so I figure I might as well get the bigger bag for tourneys.

I think I'm gonna make a bag out of Gore-Tex and Kevlar with a Vibram rubber bottom (©dgdave 2012) (bitches)
