Anyone have experience with Lightning Golf Discs/Bags?

Postby HumanTF » Wed Sep 26, 2012 9:50 am

I finally decided to get rid of my Innova Starter Bag and upgrade to something with a larger capacity. Despite not having any user reviews, I went with this:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005U7 ... 00_s00_i00

Never heard of the brand before, but the product description was exactly what I was looking for:

Holds 16-24 golf discs
3 dividers inside the main compartment, 2 putter pouches
Insulated drink holder, Mini disc holder
2 Large Outside pockets, Adjustable padded strap

And it's only $30? There must be a catch. It's probably made with paper maché...

I have the Lightning starter bag, holds 8-10 discs front to back, close to 14 left to right. I've had it for 8 years now and although it hasn't seen much poor weather, sun exposure, or trail adventures, it's a pretty solid bag. The zippers have always treated me well and the canvas is pretty decent.

I'm sure you won't have any trouble with the bigger bag, as long as you treat it with respect!

My starter bag fabric couldn't handle the rocky home course i play but also the straps were a problem so i only got one season and a third out of it. The retailer said that sounds normal for that course.
Flat shots need running on the center line of the tee and planting each step on the center line. Anhyzer needs running from rear right to front left with the plant step hitting the ground to the left of the line you're running on. Hyzer is the mirror of that.

You should definitely get more than $30 use out of it...Lightning used to be THE cheap bag option.

I had one for like 3 years, great bag if all you want is something to carry discs around in.
