If this actually ends up bumping Eagles out of my bag I'm gonna be kind of sad.

Eagle-X: "What's that old buddy? Did you call my name?"

Oh, uh nothing little guy. Go back to sleep.

It doesn't bump the EX. Not as much HSS

Does it bump stable TD's?

MVP's new driver -- Volt

Postby Fightingthetide » Thu Oct 11, 2012 9:25 pm

Hmm...so it sounds like it would work well between fresh S PD's and an understable fairway driver. Good S-line TD's aren't easy to find, in my experience (partly because my local shops don't carry a lot of them to begin with) so this sounds like a great mold to fill the same role right off the shelf. Thanks for the great review ZJ!

Broken in Star Leopard bumped up in speed based on the videos -thanks Mike. GL River at more speed? I'm not sure what to think of this. I was expecting a frozen rope disc too and for tunnels and winds aka general use it seems too little HSS for my taste. And too LSS for straight tunnels shots. For s-curving tunnel shots it seems to be better. How is the glide vs a Leo, River, Saint and FD? I'm asking because i'd like to know how far off it veers if you miss the hyzer angle. Also how easily does it lock to flat from a hyzer?
Flat shots need running on the center line of the tee and planting each step on the center line. Anhyzer needs running from rear right to front left with the plant step hitting the ground to the left of the line you're running on. Hyzer is the mirror of that.

I kind of have a sigh of relief that the Volt compliments my PDs rather than threatening them...It will take over my TD/QJLS slot as I think it can cover both those discs.

My guess is that it is like a longer eagle-L or a more stable TD. With that said, does it appear to be longer than TDs?

Similar distance of a TD but powers down better. But more stabilty out of the box compared to the TD(over all types of TD)

Based on from what I've seen and read, the potential set up for me: Predators, Volts, and Leopards.

MVP's new driver -- Volt

Postby Fightingthetide » Fri Oct 12, 2012 8:27 am

Going off these descriptions, It actually fits right into my bag. I had a stiff P PD in there for those shots but it started to chunk when it hit trees. Something tells me Volts won't do that.

And since this is a driver, we'll get a much better idea of how PLH changes over time with MVP plastics.
