I went with some MVP discs for a while pre-anode (Ion, Axis, Vector) I liked them a lot but after hearing a Barry Schultz clinic and him talk about understable discs I basically ditched them all and went back to a lot of "classic" Innova molds (no bead aviars and such) This driver has me interested in them again however. I may be picking one up when I see them and see what I think. Always wondered how a MVP driver would do with my FH.

More importantly, when did Barry Shultz last when a major Open event? I think he may give some good advice, but he's very old school. I think his failure to evolve with the sport may be costing him. Cale Leviska throws tons of overstable to stable plastic, and he performs far better.

Won the Atl Open and Greater Milwaukee Open (beating Leviska in the latter) last year and switched to Masters this year and won the majority of everything he played in. I think Barry's age has more to do with it than the technologies, and his inability to put the practice and playing time into it than he could when he was younger.

Just to clarify, he didn't say "overstable is bad stuff" he was just talking about ways to improve and dialing back and really learning to throw understable and non-premium plastics was one of the tips he gave for getting better at throwing good golf shots. I took this to heart and wanted to try to work on those things. Quite honestly I'd rather play like Barry than Cale any day. Not a knock on Cale at all, I like watching him play and he'd kick my butt if he counted all his strokes twice more than likely. Its just a style preference, and Barry is a true master at making a disc do what he wants it to do.

As a person who regular plays tourneys Barry is in I can definitely tell you it is not skill that is keeping him from competing with those younger guys. It is age and D.

Is it rounded under the rim where it meets the flight plate like the Anode? That's what makes the Anode feel like it has a shallow rim in my hands.

It is standard and not rounded like the putters. It is shallow/low profile...The grip reminds me a little of discs like the Talon/Flick/QOLF 1.1 in terms of the shallowness, but the disc has more dome than those so it feels better to me.

This thing is definitely more shallow than a 1.1 QOLF, it def reminds me of a flick in the hand.

Threw it a few times and was surprised as how it flipped up, probably a -2 on the HSS, throws a bunch like an old mold beast or a beat orc but didn't have as much glide. The glide is ok but not great but can fly a long way when brought up to speed. Good S-curve disc both forehand and backhand. Got absolutely dominated by the wind. Need to get some more throws with this thing but it seems ok so far.
